The DOLA Mask Bangle is two years of design in one piece.
The mask at its centre is DOLA's own creation. Not a replica of an existing cultural artefact but an original
design drawn from deep study of West African mask-making tradition. The way African masks use
geometry, negative space and abstract form to suggest humanity. It is that intelligence, translated into fine
jewellery.
The bangle closes from the side. A deliberate design decision that took months of back-and-forth with
manufacturers who said it was not possible. It is possible. And it is the detail that makes the piece
unmistakably DOLA.
Set with diamond pavé throughout the body of the mask. Eyes available in sapphire or emerald. Available
in sterling silver as standard, and in solid gold upon request.
